Contract Graphic Designer


Summary
:
The Graphic Designer supports the company’s mission through creative social media, marketing, and product design. Ideal candidates are adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing engaging visuals that connect audiences to the message of God’s Word.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field required.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • 3–5 years of professional design experience, preferably in publishing, branding, or print design.
  • Strong understanding of composition, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Proven ability to design for print, including experience with production specs, trim sizes, bleed, color calibration, and print-ready files.
  • Familiarity with current trends in both Christian publishing and the broader design industry.
  • Ability to maintain and adapt to TDGC’s visual identity (Sage archetype: timeless, wise, transformative) while contributing fresh, creative ideas.
  • Hand lettering and illustration skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Alignment with TDGC’s mission, doctrinal statement, and core values.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product & Print Design
    1. Support product design projects and supplemental print materials.
    2. Create design concepts that visually express theological themes with beauty, clarity, and depth.
    3. Implement design direction for interior layout
    4. Balance timeless design principles with awareness of contemporary publishing trends.
    5. Prepare files for production with accuracy and attention to detail.
    6. Collaborate with the design team to maintain consistent brand identity.
    7. Provide creative input for product enhancements.

  2. Social Media & Marketing Design
    a. Design graphics for Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.
    b. Create email newsletter campaigns and marketing collateral.
    c. Work closely with the Marketing team on campaigns and promotions.
    d. Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and goals.

  3. Collaboration & Communication
    a. Work closely with the Creative Director and other designers.
    b. Ensure timely communication of progress and needs.
    c. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and team initiatives.
    d. Adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  4. Other Duties as Assigned


Commitment: Contract, per-project basis


Compensation: Determined per project 


Additional Information:

Contractors are engaged based on the needs of specific projects and are not guaranteed ongoing or full-time work. Participation in meetings or collaborative sessions may be requested depending on project type and timeline.
