High-Level Overview
The client is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to support the production and enhancement of its corporate design outputs, with a focus on executive-level presentations, reports, collateral, and event-related assets.
Operating within the Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs function, the Senior Graphic Designer will report to the Marketing Manager, with a dotted like to the Head of Marketing/Communications for brand governance oversight.The role is execution-focused, with responsibility for delivering high-quality, brand-accurate design while applying Germany-developed corporate brand guidelines to South African materials and strengthening the template systems, asset management structure, and production workflows that support consistent output across the organisation.

Key Deliverables:
Design Production and Brand Execution

Produce executive-grade design across PowerPoint decks, reports, one-pagers, case studies, project factsheets, event collateral, signage, and digital assets.

Refresh the core corporate deck and selected flagship one-pagers, ensuring alignment with the clients global brand standards.

Develop and implement a template suite across PowerPoint, report layouts, one-pagers, social tiles, and other approved corporate collateral formats.

Apply strong information design principles to improve clarity, narrative flow, visual hierarchy, and the communication of complex technical subject matter.

Prepare print-ready and digital-ready artwork, supplier packs, and production files for events, campaigns, conferences, and stakeholder engagements where required.

Coordinate with Communications, Social Media, and Events teams on priority campaign and event assets.

Apply client's global brand guidelines developed by Germany across all South African collateral and ensure local execution remains fully brand compliant.

Adapt approved global templates and brand assets for South African use while preserving brand integrity and local relevance.

Support visual storytelling for renewable energy, grid, hydrogen, infrastructure, and stakeholder materials through infographics, diagrams, timelines, and maps.
Systems and Asset Governance

Establish and maintain a structured asset library, including naming conventions, version control, source file management, export settings, and approved brand assets.

Implement and refine a brand QA and review workflow, including checks against Germany-developed brand guidelines and approval requirements.

Introduce ongoing template improvements to enhance usability, consistency, and ease of adoption across the South African business.

Ensure all working files and templates are organised, accessible, and ready for internal use and handover.
Operational Delivery and Performance

Establish clear production workflows and agreed service levels for leadership, campaign, project, and event assets.

Manage multiple concurrent design requests within defined turnaround timelines and approval cycles.

Operate within a structured revision process, incorporating local and HQ feedback where required.

Contribute to a monthly performance update, including delivery tracking, template adoption, and improvement recommendations.

Support a Month 3 renewal review based on delivery, quality, adoption, and governance standards.
Systemisation and Handover

Finalise and deliver an updated template library for ongoing internal use in South Africa.

Provide a complete asset library structure, source files, export settings, and master templates.
-
Deliver supplier specifications where relevant and documented QA guidelines.

Conduct an internal enablement or walkthrough session, including guidance on correct use of Germany-developed brand assets and local template application.
Requirements
Experience Required:
-
5+ years’ experience in graphic design within a corporate, professional services, energy, infrastructure, or other structured brand environment.

Demonstrated experience producing executive-level presentations, long-form reports, and stakeholder-facing collateral.

Experience building or refining template systems and improving brand consistency across multiple teams and channels.
-
Experience operating within governed approval and stakeholder environments, ideally with cross-border stakeholders or matrix reporting.

Experience working within established international corporate brand systems and applying detailed brand guidelines.

Advanced PowerPoint capability, including master templates, structured layouts, and presentation system maintenance.

Strong layout, typography, and information design skills.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, or equivalent professional design software.
Technical Requirements:

Print production knowledge and experience preparing supplier-ready and press-ready files.

Familiarity with digital asset management, structured file systems, and template governance.

Ability to develop infographics, diagrams, timelines, maps, and visual explainers for complex technical content.

Working knowledge of branded Word document formatting and template application will be advantageous.

Strong attention to detail, high brand sensitivity, and disciplined quality control.

Additional information about desired profiles:

Ideal candidates will have experience supporting a corporate affairs, communications, or marketing team in a highly regulated or stakeholder-intensive sector.

Experience in energy, infrastructure, sustainability, industrial, or B2B communication environments will be advantageous.

Exposure to working with global HQ brand teams or regional brand custodians is strongly preferred.
Working Arrangement
Location: South Africa
Travel: Travel will be required in line with event schedules and business needs.

Contracting Period: Rolling 3–4 month contract, with potential extension based on performance and business needs.
