Bounteous is looking for an experienced Lead Designer to join our growing design practice. The Lead Designer is responsible for leading and contributing to the quality, creativity, and delivery of projects across multiple industry verticals.
As a Lead Designer, your passion for design keeps you close to the work, driving the conceptual solutions, standards of quality, and energy of the team, from concept all the way through execution. You will serve as a mentor to designers working alongside you, helping shape their personal skills and design perspectives. Our Lead Designers are strong communicators and collaborators, who participate in daily cross-disciplinary discussions, frequently lead internal working sessions, and present design decisions with confidence and clarity of intention.
The Experience Design Team at Bounteous is a multidisciplinary collaboration of humans who create meaningful experiences people love and clients value, with expertise in UX, product, visual, motion, and brand design.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
Role and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of and openly share methodologies, best practices, and processes that lead to excellent design solutions
- Conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills, developing concepts informed by insights, and proactively researching to gather insights when needed
- Lead the design of detailed, accessible, on-brand digital initiatives that clearly address customer needs, business objectives, client vision, and project KPIs with limited Director oversight
- Confidently present the intention behind design decisions and their intended impact on the experience to internal teams and client stakeholders
- Follow and share current design trends and methodologies, especially in the digital space
- Develop strong relationships across multi-disciplinary project and client teams
- Manage time effectively and proactively communicate with project teams
- Lead small project tracks autonomously
- Mindfully lead by example and mentor junior-level team members in their development
- Work hard and have fun doing it
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of visual design experience, preferably at a digital agency
- Polished client presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate how the work addresses client challenges
- Experience leading self and/or fellow designers on project teams from start to finish with limited oversight
- Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics programs a plus
$55 - $74 an hour
Individual pay is determined by many factors, including experience, relevant education or training, and organizational needs. The mid-range to maximum of the salary range is generally reserved for individuals who are highly experienced in the role.
